26 March 2025

Deadline: April 25, 2025

Sculpture in Context are delighted to announce that the annual exhibition will return to the National Botanic Gardens this September to celebrate 40 Years showcasing sculpture in Ireland.

Entries are open to all national and international artists working in three dimensions in any medium. The broadest possible definition of sculptural practice is encouraged including object making, installation, performance, video, along with emerging hybrid forms, both permanent and ephemeral. Sculptors wishing to exhibit are invited to apply through an open submission and selection is made by an independent panel of judges.

Sculpture in Context offers a unique opportunity for artists to present their work in a prestigious and inspiring environment, engage with a broad audience, and be eligible for a range of prestigious awards.

The exhibition attracts large visitor numbers, offering significant visibility and potential to sell to collectors, and the general public.

Large sculpture will be showcased in the gardens natural setting, creating a dialogue between art and nature. A selection of works will be displayed in the indoor gallery, providing an intimate and curated viewing experience.
