Join us for the Craft NI 2023 Spring Programme! Craft NI are excited to announce the following training sessions coming up over the next few weeks:

 

In Conversation with Katie Treggiden, Thursday 23rd February 2pm-3pm, over Zoom.

Join us for a Conversation with Katie Treggiden with insights and observations arising from her research into the role craft can play in a circular economy.

How to be a Responsible Business with Sophie Rochester, Monday 6th March, 11am-12 noon over Zoom.

The session will work through a checklist to help you to consider some of the key things you can do to ensure your business can grow responsibly – without overwhelming you!

How to improve your maker practices to be more sustainable with Sophie Rochester, Monday 13th March, over Zoom.

Please note this session has been moved to 2pm.

Become more environmentally conscious in your craft practice through simple tips and advice on cutting down on waste, saving water and swapping your materials for more sustainable alternatives. This workshop will help makers and craft organisations with some advice, support and the tools they need to become greener.

Online Accounting with FPM, Thursday 23rd March, 11am-12 noon, taking place online over Zoom and in-person at the University of the Atypical (Royal Avenue, Belfast).

We’re aways looking for any business supports that will help makers save time and give you more time for making. Do you want to grow your confidence in using online accounting packages for your small business?

Product Photography for Beginners with Simon Mills, Tuesday 28th March, 11am-3pm, taking place in-person at the University of the Atypical (Royal Avenue, Belfast).

This half day session has been developed for complete beginners to photographing work. No prior knowledge is required for this session which will be aimed at using a camera phone and basic household materials to document your work.

This session is fully booked.

 

Advanced Product Photography with Simon Mills, Tuesday 4th April, 11am-3pm, taking place in-person at the University of the Atypical (Royal Avenue, Belfast).

This half-day session has been developed for those with some photography experience and access to a camera.

This session is fully booked.

 

Intellectual Property Basics with ACID, Thursday 27th April, from 11am-12 noon, over Zoom.

During this session, Simon Sellars from Anti Copying in Design (ACID) will delve into the world of Intellectual Property for small craft businesses with time for a Q&A.
