The Hogarth Prize, a landmark new national arts award, has been launched today by Hounslow Council in collaboration with Parker Harris, inviting artists and makers from across the UK to submit work for a new exhibition at Hogarth’s House, Chiswick, London.
The prize is open to amateur, emerging and established artists, aged 18 and over and from across the UK. The Hogarth Prize welcomes submissions in any medium, provided the work is presented in a wall-hanging format.
Approximately 80 works will be shortlisted by the selection panel, to be exhibited at Hogarth’s House from Tuesday 28 July to Thursday 6 September.
The winner of the Hogarth Prize will receive £3,000 and a solo exhibition at Hogarth’s House. A Visitors’ Choice Award of £500 will be given to the artist whose work receives the most votes from visitors and will be awarded in the last week of the exhibition.
