The Poorly Project
20 March 2025
Deadline: April 30, 2025
The Poorly Project (alternatively titled POORLY) is an editorial and curatorial project dedicated to artists, makers and craftspeople contributing to the worlds of sickness, health and well-being.
The project invites members of the creative health community to share their stories and creative practices. Understanding that sickness remains on the societal side-lines and contemporary conversations on health and well-being are becoming part-time, the exchange of information, experience and wisdom has become evermore valuable.
Manifested through written interviews, in-person studio tours and visual documentation – cumulatively known as ‘tales’ – The Poorly Project aims to bring greater public awareness to the expressions and obstacles associated with these imperative matters.
We hope to encourage creative practitioners to get involved, share their stories and conversation-worthy work. Through this process, we wish to bring greater public consciousness and change to medical/therapeutic systems. As The Poorly Project is an ongoing project, there is no strict submission deadline but we kindly ask for interested parties to send their applications in a timely manner so that we may process their form and avoid prolonged wait on responses.
