For artists whose practice is driven by innovation, technical excellence and the pursuit of new ideas.

The World of Glass invites applications from glass artists across the UK and internationally for one of two Artist in Residence opportunities.
Spend two weeks immersed in one of the UK’s most significant centres for glassmaking, with dedicated access to our hot and cold glass studios, the time to push your practice further, and the freedom to realise ambitious new work.

 

The residency offers:
• Dedicated studio access for two weeks
• Hot and cold glass facilities
• Accommodation for up to 14 nights
• Glass materials and project support
• The opportunity to create a significant new work that will become part of The World of Glass’ nationally accredited museum collection.
Residents will also engage with audiences through demonstrations and workshops, offering insight into the processes, skills and thinking behind contemporary glass practice.
We welcome applications from established makers, internationally exhibiting artists, and exceptional emerging practitioners with a distinctive vision.
