Join macramé artist Alison Pascoe for this in person series of workshops held in the ASTRL Fibres studio. Sharing the methods used in her own practice, Alison will guide you through the fundamental skills of macramé that you can use for future practice.  Each session will improve your skills, each project more challenging then the last. These classes are suitable for absolute beginners looking for a challenge and for those with a little knot know how, interested in further developing their macramé skills.

This session will cover: setting up your workstation, planning and design, understanding materials, measuring and mounting techniques, the larks head knot, the square knot, the spiral knot, the horizontal double hitch knot, the vertical double hitch knot, knot pattern variations, creative composition, adding colour, finishing techniques, hanging and display  and aftercare.
