On this 4-week course with tutor Fiona Shannon you will learn the key stages of wheel throwing on the pottery wheel and the basics of ceramics. Fiona will encourage you to produce functional items using stoneware clay (cost includes 2 bags for each participant). After completing a piece they will then go on to be fired in the kiln by the tutor. You can purchase additional clay should you wish to create more work. This course is suitable for beginners, 18+ and the dates are as follows: January 19, 26, February 2 and 9.

Please note: short sleeves, old trousers and an apron are recommended but clay washes off easily; your finished piece will need time to dry out and be fired twice in Flowerfield’s kilns. Your work will be ready for collection 4 weeks after the date of your workshop.
