In partnership with Seaside Revival Vintage Festival, this is a rare chance to make your very own deckchair over the course of two workshops.
During the first workshop on 23rd July Claire Dunwoody from Nodo will introduce you to the traditional maritime textile knotting method of macramé, and you will spend the evening beginning the seat cover. You will then take your work home and complete the length, returning to a second workshop on Friday the 30th July where Claire will demonstrate how to attach your work, and you will build your chair.
Your finished deckchair will be the envy of onlookers on the beach, in the park or wherever you’re setting up your picnic – and is sure to become a family vintage heirloom! Each workshop will last for 3 hours.
