During this 1 day spoon carving workshop you will be using traditional tools to shape green wood. The beauty of green wood lies in its ability to be shaped easily as it is soft and easily worked with hand tools. Stephen Ryan from Green Woodwork Ireland will teach you the skills needed to become a traditional spooncarver. Each participant will learn axe, straight and hook knife carving skills to produce their own cooking spoon from locally sourced, freshly cut wood.

All tools and materials are supplied. This course is suited to all levels including complete beginners. Due to the use of sharp tools during the class, sturdy boots or shoes should be worn. Workshop times are 10.00am to 5.30pm.
