Making Space is a series of workshops that will encourage you to think with your hands, embrace a willingness to play, allow yourself the space to be creative and find connection in the act of making.
Join Alison of ASTRL Fibres for a deep dive into macramé pattern design. Over the course of this 4hr session, Alison will introduce you to an intermediate library of knots and techniques that you will use to create your own wall hanging to take home with you (measurements not exceeding W40cm x L60cm). All the required materials and tools will be provided along with pattern instructions to take home with you for reference. Techniques covered in this course:

Who is this workshop for: This workshop is suitable for those looking to develop their existing macramé skills. Participants must have a basic grasp of tying knots such as the square knot and alternating square knot. The session will be seated and standing in a relaxed setting but the knotting technique is repetitive so you will need to be able knot for the duration of the session.
