Intersect presents a collection of sculpture made by Michael Moore since January 2018. It researches mapping of locality. It examines how clay forms interplay and balance, exploring precarious constructions. Grid forms reflect journeys around places of personal importance. Clay forms explore movement and contortion, seeking out unusual, abstracted structures.
Michael Moore is Reader in Fine and Applied Arts at Ulster University. He has works in the permanent collections of the Ulster Museum, National Museum of Ireland. He is an elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics and a registered maker with Craft NI and the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.
