Come along for a weekend were you will learn a range of beginners skills in making jewellery.

What will you learn?

Day 1: You will begin with getting to grips with the tools, the workshop and metals. You will make a ring to kick start, moving on to making a pair of stud and a pair of long earrings.

Rounding off the first day with making a lovely pendant.

Day 2 You will begin day 2 by learning how to melt silver and forge it into a ring.

As your jammed packed weekend comes to a close you will learn how to file, sand and polish so that you go away with two rings, two pairs of earrings and a pendant that you have made. (A chain for your pendant is also included).

Who is this for?

This course is for complete beginners but all participants must be over 16. It is for a maximum of 6 people so that you have the best tuition experience and access to tools.

What is provided?

Shannon will provide a printed course guide for you to keep.

You will be working in silver for all pieces but you will have copper to practice on as well. You will get to take home all the pieces you have made.

Light refreshments will be provided to keep you going through your lessons. Please bring a packed lunch. We will have a morning and afternoon break as well as 30 minutes for lunch.
