As the ‘Shuttles & Shafts’ exhibition is well underway and will stay open until November 11th at Craft NI Gallery, Craft NI are delighted to invite you to a morning talk with Senior Research Fellow Trish Belford and Professor of Design Barbara Dass, the team behind the ‘Reviving the William Liddell’ project that the exhibition is based on.

Come along to hear Trish and Barbara talk about the challenges behind preserving and digitising the unique collection of 1600 photographic glass plates; the fascinating history of the Ewart-Liddell linen factory at Donacloney, Co Down and their interest in finding a way to keep this wonderful design history alive through the  collaboration with William Clark and Sons of Upperlands, who developed new prints and weaves now available to the public.
